The Last Fall
Matthew A. Cherry's distinct, assured voice will surely be heard even more loudly in the years to come.

Changing the Game
The central questions of how Darrell navigates the game and, more importantly, how or if he is able to maintain his soul in the process do resonate.

Battleship
Goes about its thought-free blow-shit-up business in such a bizarre and absurd manner that to simply dismiss it as laughably awful is to shortchange how oddly captivating its off-the-charts "what-the-fuck?" quality often is.

The Dictator
Baron Cohen is as always never less than fully immersed into his character, and Aladeen's antics are often quite hilarious, most brashly and crudely so.

Think Like a Man
Tim Story and his cast have unlocked the material in as cinematic a way as ideally possible.

Restless City
So follows the immigrant experience in the restless city: inviting and intriguing in its beauty, grit, and danger, familiar yet foreign, a world one must at once surrender to yet be careful to not completely lose oneself in.

The Raid: Redemption
That even after no less than three viewings the energy jolt and excitement doesn't lose any of its visceral charge is a sure sign that not only
is this one emma effing hell of a thrill ride, but one emma effing hell of a great achievement in filmmaking.

Agent Vinod
The mix of flavors works more often than not, and when it does, sometimes spectacularly.

Luther
There is no performance here more committed than that of the lead, who brings tremendous focus to a character that is, ironically enough, in an ongoing struggle to maintain his.
